Iodide-Coordinated Single-Site Pd Catalysts for Alkyne Dialkoxycarbonylation

چکیده

Heterogeneous single-metal-site catalysts (HSMSCs) have attracted considerable interest, but most studies focused on the metal atoms in active site while ignoring key role of ligands. The unique coordination environment a single-site catalyst is crucial for realizing its potential. Constructing this kind via feasible and practical fabrication method challenging. Herein, Pd with iodide ligands supported activated carbon (Pd1/AC) was successfully fabricated by atomic dispersion large nanoparticles (NPs). Intermediate I• radicals were detected during process NPs situ imaging photoelectron photoion coincidence spectroscopy (in iPEPICO) vacuum ultraviolet synchrotron radiation. molecular structure established as [Pd(CO)I4(O?AC)]2– through combined characterization. Alkyne dialkoxycarbonylation high selectivity toward 1,4-dicarboxylic acid esters (>94%) acetylene conversion (>99%) achieved. A sulfonic promoter Pd1/AC alkyne avoided because ligand. Good durability broad substrate scope

Single-site heterogeneous catalysts.

Intellectually, the advantages that flow from the availability of single-site heterogeneous catalysts (SSHC) are many. They facilitate the determination of the kinetics and mechanism of catalytic turnover-both experimentally and computationally-and make accessible the energetics of various intermediates (including short-lived transition states). These facts in turn offer a rational strategic pr...

Alkyne Metathesis Catalysts: Scope And Future

This paper presents the evolution of alkyne metathesis since the early discoveries, essentially from the catalyst point of view. It is shown that although well defined carbynes may be useful for this reaction, further work has been made, aimed at the synthesis of new catalysts or catalytic systems, based on molybdenum precursors , associated or not with phenolic cocatalysts. The major objective...

Synthesis of single-site copper catalysts for methane partial oxidation.

Cu-Exchanged zeolites are known as active materials for methane oxidation to methanol. However, understanding of the formation of Cu active species during synthesis, dehydration and activation is fragmented and rudimentary. We show here how a synthesis protocol guided by insight in the ion exchange elementary steps leads to highly uniform Cu species in mordenite (MOR).

Tunable single-site ruthenium catalysts for efficient water oxidation.

The catalytic water oxidation activity of mononuclear ruthenium complexes comprising a pyridine-functionalized abnormal triazolylidene ligand can be adjusted by modification of the triazolylidene substituents, which is readily achieved through click-type cycloaddition chemistry, affording some of the most active ruthenium catalysts known thus far for water oxidation (TONs > 400, TOFs close to 7...
